Bite Me Burger: London

Bite Me Burger: London

There are so many ‘burger places’ that I’ve lost count; Burger King, McDonalds, Byron, Five Guys, (I could go on) … so what makes ‘Bite Me Burger’ different?

Bite Me Burger proves that size isn’t everything with their delightful mini burgers that fit between your finger and your thumb!

When people think of burgers, they most likely think of beef, or chicken, but Bite Me Burger also caters to vegetarians and vegans with their ‘Vegi-Anne’ burger (you gotta love the name!) and their ‘Veg Me’ and ‘Vegan Me’ burgers. Check out their range below!

I do love a good burger, but there are three things that concern me whenever I order one:

Firstly, there’s the grease.  There have been times when I have literally seen grease dripping from out of the bun which is incredibly off-putting.

Next is my constant need for ketchup.  It doesn’t seem to matter what kind of burger I am eating, I always end up having to add more ketchup to it, usually to dip my burger in.

Thirdly – the guilt! It’s not exactly good for you, and I sometimes regret having them afterwards.

Bite Me Burger eliminates all three of these things.

There is no dryness or greasiness because the beef is of such high quality. The reason it tastes so delicious is because it is premium Galician beef from Spain.  The Galician Blond breed of cow live longer than many breeds and roam free in North West Spain, feeding on grassy meadows. They gain more fat giving the beef a rich depth of flavour.  The beef for the mince is matured four weeks on the bone and freshly minced daily.

I also didn’t add anything to it! This is genuinely the first time I have never dipped a burger in sauce.  Their beef is cooked to perfection (medium) ensuring all the natural juices and flavours are kept inside.  There is just the right amount of filling and dressing, making every bite mouthwatering.  Like I said, there was nothing I wanted to add to it – these burgers were perfection all on their own.

As for guilt? These burgers are bite size, so you can eat a couple of them and still feel good about yourself!

WHAT DID I CHOOSE?

We were allowed to choose two mini burgers so I opted for the ‘Beef Encounter’ and ‘Hail Caesar’.  Both were equally delicious, I had to regain self-control not to eat them both in one go. The ‘Beef Encounter’ consisted of an aged grilled beef patty, marinated in a special burger sauce that melted in your mouth with every bite.  American cheese, shredded lettuce, and pickles made up the filling.  The ‘Hail Caesar’ was made up of corn fed chicken breast, cos lettuce, Monterey Jack cheese, herb and garlic croutons, and a creamy Caesar dressing.

To accompany our burgers, we were provided with a portion of pan-fried chips, and sweet potato fries. I’m not a huge fan of pan-fried chips, as I find them slightly oily and this continued to be the case here.  The sweet potato fries however, were delicious, and although some people prefer fries with a crunch, I liked the fact the sweet potato fries were softer.

Back to the burgers – did I mention I could have eaten all 15?  Well, Bite Me Burger offers a Food Challenge for those who reckon they can consume all 15 mini burgers in 15 minutes! Apparently the record is 8 minutes (crazy!)! If you feel up to the challenge, you’ll get a t-shirt on the evening for taking part (that’s reason enough), and a free meal for those who manage to complete it.

RESTAURANT VIBE & SERVICE

The décor of the restaurant is really fresh and cool, with incredible attention to detail that makes you feel like you had arrived in some sort of Burger Paradise.  Long thin benches give an American diner vibe, and wooden chests decorated with ‘burger themed’ cushions, and plenty of plug sockets make up a more chilled zone.

The staff were super friendly, very approachable, and interacted a lot with the group, which made the experience a lot more personal than your average dining experience.

I would definitely return to Bite Me Burger and encourage everyone reading this to do so.  In fact, you don’t even have to visit them as they deliver (even better), so make sure to check them out on Deliveroo or Just Eat, to get your hands on London’s sexiest burgers.

Special thanks to Love Pop Up’s London for inviting me and some members of the community along.

Ooo this place looks pretty good, I like that the burgers are small so you can try more than one type. I’d have a hard time choosing which i’d like.

I was wondering if they would charge you for the extras if you tank out at say 10 instead of 15? Just some food for thought. 🙂
